独居石

独居石是稀土金属矿的主要矿物之一，常含钍、锆等。单斜晶系,晶体呈细小板状。棕红、黄或黄绿色，油脂光泽或玻璃光泽,贝壳状至参差状断口。性脆，硬度5～5.5，密度4.9~5.5g/cm3。在紫外光照射下发鲜绿色荧光。因常含铀、钍、镭，故具有放射性。
